Meeting the ChallengeMeeting the Challenge: Effective Strategies for Challenging Behaviours in Early Childhood Environments (Canadian Child Care Federation, 1999, and National Association for the Education of Young Children, 1999)

This 40-page booklet was our first foray into the field of challenging behavior, and it is still going strong.  When one child turned Barbara’s child care center upside down, she wanted to know how others were dealing with difficult behavior. She soon realized she and her staff weren’t the only educators in need of help. The result (with Judy’s  help) was “Meeting the Challenge,” an easy-to-read little book written especially for practicing teachers. It soon became a bestseller in both the U.S. and Canada.

“This booklet has been my salvation.” —Child Care Educator
